Spring - May 6, 2013

I started to put a fairy garden in this year. This is the begining.
Our grandchildren will love adding to this with me.

See this flower on the left? Well it is from the plant below. I know! How did this happen? If you look at the next plant below you'll see how the pink lily plant turned into what is called a Christmas Rose plant.I asked a professional gardener how did this happen?  He told me that sometimes two plants will be grafted todgether so that the leaves of one plant may enhance the other plant with the flowers. Anyway in the summer of 2011 our plant looked like this pink lily then in 2012 and on the other parent plant decided to be the donminate plant and we have this pretty Christmas Rose! I found that to me perplexing and very interesting.

Have a peek at our garden

Welcome, so nice of you to visit.

I've been blessed to have married one of those "Few Good Men" for 40 years now! We enjoy our 5 favorite children who keep sharing with us the precious gifts of grandchildren!
We love the Lord and are grateful to live in this free land of the U.S.A.

Thanks Mom for passing down your love of gradening!
